2015
Victoria and New South Wales
Murray Goulburn Co-operative is Australia’s largest milk and dairy products producer. Their product is exported to 50 countries throughout the world. They have recently embarked on a major expansion program with four new production facilities to cater for increased local and export contracts.
The four sites - Laverton, Cobram and Koroit in Victoria, as well as Erskine Park in Sydney, were constructed in succession from 2014 to 2016.
The Engineering company responsible for the projects, Pitt and Sherry, were looking to specify the floor that they knew well and had a proven long term history in diary production facilities.
The client also wanted a product that was low VOC and had HACCP and CSM approval.
Sika solution
The Client M.G.C. was presented with Sikafloor® PurCem system for all production areas as well as outside bunded storage and chemical storage zones. The Engineer also presented Sika as a company that could assist in the design process as well as be able to work closely with recommended installers and the Head Contractor on each site during installation to ensure a successful outcome. The result is four large sites relying on Sikafloor® PurCem as their floor to work off for the production of millions of litres of cheeses and milk products annually. These production areas using Sikafloor® PurCem total 15,000 m2.
