- Fix any creaky stairs in your hallway. A creaking step can be infuriating. Find out where the creak comes from – it may be something as simple as sticking down a loose tread with Sikaflex® -118.
- Seal any air leaks with Sikaflex®- 11 FC. Minimise air leaks arond doors and windows where possible. Air leaks are not only uncomfortable in the cold months and can affect the efficiency of heating.
- Add a mirror. Not only will you have somewhere to have a last-minute check of your appearance before leaving the house, but adding a mirror is also a great way of bouncing light around what can often be a small space. Choose a super-strong construction adhesive like Sikaflex® -118. and it couldn’t be easier to mount one to the wall.
- Freshen up floors. Pay attention to what’s underfoot, if your floors are good and only need a refresh, you can deep-clean the carpet, polish wood floors, shake up your rugs and clean up floor tiles by going over the grout with a good cleaning product like Davco Tile & Grout Cleaner that will remove tough dirt and stains, as well as any mould.
- Clean up and repair any loose cornices and skirting. Look at the details in your room, from skirting to picture rails, coving to cornicing, and repair any issues with Sikaflex®- 11 FC.
- For larger jobs, like upgrading your flooring with a new wood floor, preparation is key for the final finish. Ensure floors are levelled, primed and a suitable wood floor adhesive is used.
