Sika® Backer Rod Fire is a circular, compressible, mineral wool based backing rod wrapped with a glass fibre yarn.

Usage
Sika® Backer Rod Fire may only be used by experienced professionals.- Designed as a backing rod for fire resistant joint sealing in horizontal and vertical building structure applications
- Applied in conjunction with SikaHyflex®-250 Facade.

Storage conditions
The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between -20 °C and +70 °C. Always refer to packaging.

- Sika® Backer Rod Fire must be installed at a minimum compression rate of 15 %.
