SikaShield® P02 PE Rollbase 2 kg/m²

Plastomeric modified bituminous roof membrane separation layer                                      (Formerly Index Rollbase 2kg/m2 )

SikaShield® P02 PE Rollbase 2 kg/m² is an APP modified bituminous separation layer used as a base sheet for torch applied bituminous roof membranes which cannot be directly applied to the roof substrate. The membrane can be applied using various application methods to wood or metal substrates with or without existing waterproofing membranes. The underside is coated with an exposed non-woven polyester fabric which is absorbent and traps any residual moisture from wooden substrates or old waterproofing membranes. It is reinforced with fibreglass to ensure dimensional stability. Top surface finish: polyethylene film. Weight: ~2,0 kg/m2

Usage

The Product is used as a waterproofing membrane for:
  • Flat or sloping roofs
Roof waterproofing accessory for:
  • Flat and sloped roofs as a base sheet and/or water vapour transmission layer for torch applied bituminous roof membranes

Storage conditions

The Product must be stored in original unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions and temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect the Product from direct weather exposure and sunlight. Store in a vertical position. Do not stack pallets of the rolls on top of each other, or under pallets of any other materials during transport or storage. Always refer to packaging.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The supporting structure must be of sufficient structural strength to apply all new and existing layers of the roof build-up. Complete roof system must be designed and secured against wind uplift loadings.

The substrate must be uniform, firm, smooth and free of any sharp protrusion or burrs, clean, dry, free of grease, bitumen, oil, dust and loosely adhering particles.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Use the appropriate preparation equipment to achieve the required substrate quality.
