Usage
Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed is applied in combination with suitable materials from Sikafloor®, SikaBond®, Sikadur®, SikaTite® & Davco® rangesApplications are as follows

Shelf life
Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool, dry and weatherproof environment.
Storage conditions
Bags must be stored off the floor. Avoid sitting bags in direct sunlight prior to application.

Waiting time to overcoating
Allow 15 hours at 23°C prior to the application of tile or levelling systems. Allow 3 days at 23°C for impervious floor coverings or membranes.
Drying is dependent on thickness of application, temperature, air flow & relative humidity. Increased air flow will help with drying speeds in cooler temperatures.

EQUIPMENT
Mixing can be undertaken with:
▪ Slow speed mixing drill & pail
▪ Cement mixer
▪ Forced drum mixer
For best results a forced drum mixer or cement mixer is advised.
MIXING
Slowly add powder to the clean cool water and mix for a continuous 2-3 minutes. A semi-dry consistency must be achieved, but will form when pressure is applied. Install mixed product immediately. Not mixing for the recommended time or additional water may result in product irregularities and possible product failure.
APPLICATION
Bonded Screed Application 10mm - 60mm
For bonded screed applications a Bond or Slurry coat must first be applied prior to placement of Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed.
Un-bonded Screeds Application: 30 - 80mm
Lay 2 layers of polyethylene film on the substrate and tape the joins. Place the mixed Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed onto the polyethelene film and reinforce with galvanized wire as per applicable AS standards. Screed to falls and desired heights should be created during this process.
Primer: Bond & Slurry coat options.
Option 1 Bond coat:
Promaxset Plus mix ratio 6.5 - 6.8 Litres water per 20kg bag. Apply Bond coat to the clean susbstrate with a trowel, or broom to a depth of 2mm - 2.5mm.
Option 2 Slurry coat: 1:1 by Ratio
▪ 1 part Lankolatex 751
▪ 1 part GP cement
Apply slurry coat to the substrate with a stiff broom making sure adequate slurry is observed on the surface. While either the Bond or Slurry coat is still wet and tacky apply the Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed and compact (tamp). Screed to falls and desired heights should be created during this process.
Note: Should the bond or Slurry coat skin prior to placement of Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed, remove and replace prior to further product being installed.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and equipment with warm water and detergent while the product is still wet.
