Sika® Plastiment®-55

WR-WATER REDUCING ADMIXTURE

Sika® Plastiment®-55 is a special formulated water reducing admixture based on selected polycarboxylate ethers, which provides a cost effective solution in achieving water reduction.

Usage

Sika® Plastiment®-55 is used to improve the efficiency of the water content in concrete mixes to achieve increased workability without loss of strength or to increase strength without loss of workability. It can be used for pumped and structural concrete. Sika® Plastiment®-55 is the ideal product for burnished finish concrete flooring.

Shelf life

Stored at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C in unopened original containers protected from direct sunlight, shelf life is 12 months.

Dispensing

Sika® Plastiment®-55 is added with the batching water. Never add to a dry mix.

Compatibility

Sika® Plastiment®-55 can be used in conjunction with all the Sika Concrete Admixtures, excluding Sikament NN.

Consumption

Recommended dosage

Recommended dosage is 400 ml ± 100 ml per 100 kg of total cementitious material. This dosage can be increased to 800 ml  100 kg of total cementitious material to improve water reduction and increase setting time. Optimum dosage should be determined by site trials with the
particular mix design and materials.
