LANKO 752 Bondit

PVA Additive for strenghtening cement based products

LANKO 752 Bondit is a P.V.A. based emulsion for use as a mortar additive, primer and sealer. LANKO 752 Bondit increases the adhesion, flexibility, tensile strength and impact resistance of mortars. Also suitable for bonding timber to timber.

Usage

Mixed with water and applied to concrete surfaces for priming, dustproofing and sealing. As an additive to sand/cement for concrete patching applications. As an additive in sand/cement for rendering applications. As an additive in mortars for tiling over concrete, render, blockwork and rendered brickwork surfaces. As a slurry into neat cement for bonding new sand/cement toppings onto concrete surfaces. For bonding timber onto timber.

Shelf life

Storage conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between 4°C - 35°C.

Joinery:

Approximately 3.5m2/L when used neat, depending upon surface porosity and site conditions.

Priming:

6-8m2/L when diluted with water and applied with a brush or roller.

Mortar Addition:

Approximately 750 mL to 1L of LANKO 752 Bondit with required water to each 20 kg of sand/cement mix.

 
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

  • Surfaces, must be dry, structurally sound, clean, free of dust,dirt, wax, oil, grease, asphalt, mastic, latex compounds, adhesives, paint, gypsum-based products and other contaminants.
  • Ensure all release agents are removed from surface of concrete, especially tilt-up slabs.
  • Painted surfaces should be scabbled to expose at least 80% of the original surface.
  • Very porous surfaces must be primed with LANKO 752 Bondit as per instructions below.
  • New concrete must be allowed to cure for six weeks and have a wood float finish.
  • Steel trowel finished concrete must be acid etched or wire brushed prior to tiling.
  • Old concrete and rendered surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to tiling.
  • Newly rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 7 days.

MIXING

Rendering Mix:

  • 1 part LANKO 752 Bondit
  • 4 parts water 
  • 3:1 sand/cement mix

Apply with a flat trowel onto the surface to be rendered.

Priming and Sealing Mix:

  • 1 part LANKO 752 Bondit
  • 3 parts water

Apply with a broom/brush onto the floor or wall.

 

Concrete Patching Mix:

  • 1 part LANKO 752 Bondit
  • 4 parts water
  • 3:1 sand/cement mix

Apply with a flat trowel or spatula to patch holes or depressions in concrete or rendered surfaces after priming.

Joinery:

Neat LANKO 752 Bondit can be used to bond timber to timber. Apply with a brush or roller.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean up tools and equipment with water while LANKO 752 Bondit is still wet.
