Levelling and tiling system for an automotive showroom, Genesis.
Project requirements
Our client was after a sturdy flooring system that would be appropriate for 580m2 area with 600x600x10 porcelain tiles. The system was required to withstand heavy loads and constant movement of cars and foot traffic.
Sika solution
After careful consideration, we recommended the following system:
- Level: Sikafloor® Level TOP to level the concrete prior to the installation of tiles.
- Adhesive: Sika Prohesive® Pro Maxset in white mixed with 50% Davelastic for a strong and secure bond.
- Grout: SikaCeram-690 Elite – a high performance cementitious floor and wall tile grout in Platinum Grey to complement the tiles
- Joints: Sikaflex® PRO-3 Purform – a high quality sealant with movement capability of ±25 % (ISO 9047), ±50 % (ASTM C719).The sealant maintains elasticity over a wide temperature range, high mechanical and chemical resistance, providing good durability.
With this tiling system, our client can have peace of mind knowing their showroom is equipped with a long-lasting and reliable Sika solution that will withstand the test of time.
