Application steps

MIXING

Pour the recommended amount of fresh cool water into a clean mixing container. Whilst stirring slowly using a slow speed electric mixer (approx 500rpm) add the powder and mix to a smooth lump free homogenous mix is acheived.

Allow Mix to stand and "slake" for 5 minutes and immediately restir for an additional minute.

Restirring the mix may be necessary but do not add addition water.

APPLICATION

  • Tile & Stone shall be fixed in accordance with AS3958.1-2007.
  • Ensure the backs of tiles are clean and free from dust and contaminates.
  • Apply the adhesive to the substrate with the appropriate sized nothced trowel to acheive coverage requirements on both substrate and the back of tiles. Tiles may require "back-buttering" to acheive minimum coverage requirements.
  • Apply the adhesive with the notched trowel in a single direction. While pressing the tiles into the wet adhesive, break adhesive ridges with the tile to full bed the tile into the adhesive.
  • It is advisable to periodically check the back of the tiles to ensure adequate coverage of adhesive is acheived in accordance to the standard.
  • Only apply as much ashesive that can be covered by the tiles prior to skinning. If adhesive skins prior to placement of tiles, remove and replace.
  • Remove any excess adhesive from the face of tiles and ensure grout joint are cleand and free from excess adhesive and uniform depth.
  • Movement, Expansion and Control joints must be installated.
  • Allow the adhesive to dry prior to grouting application.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Tools and equipement can be cleaned with water prior to the adhesive setting.
