Usage

Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime is applied in combination with suitable materials from Sikafloor®, SikaBond®, Sikadur®, SikaTite® & Davco® ranges. Suitable for priming over the following fully bonded & thoroughly cleaned surfaces:
  • Ceramic & porcelain tiles
  • Terrazzo
  • Non-porous coatings
  • Sikafloor®-158 W Fast Barrier (Moisture Barrier)
  • Vinyl flooring
  • Davco® or SikaTite® acrylic membranes

Shelf life

Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of
production, if stored properly in undamaged, original, sealed packaging.

Storage conditions

Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime should be stored in cool dry conditions at all
times. Protected from direct sunlight and keep at temperatures between
+5 °C and +35 °C.

Note:

Before applying subsequent flooring products Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime must be completely dry (50min+ @ 23°C).

Do not install products over wet or pooling Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime. Instead, brush the pooling product out and wait till dry.

Values are approximate and subject to variation due to climatic conditions.

Consumption

~ 8m2 per litre.

Average is determined by texture of the substrate and applicator device.
Application steps

MIXING

Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime comes premixed and should not be diluted under any circumstances, however stirring is recommended prior to use.

 

APPLICATION

Apply one thin coat of Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime over the prepared surface with a long napped roller (10 – 12mm) or brush for smaller areas.

Note:

  • Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime adhears to the surface provided, and therfore dust or other contaminates will inhibate a strong bond line.
    • For best practice it is recommended subsequent materials are applied as soon as Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime is fully dry (50min+), but no latter than 4hrs.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean equipment with water while the product is still wet.
