Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC is a high range water reducer based on Sika’s ViscoCrete® polycarboxylate polymer technology.

Usage
Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC is designed for high quality shotcrete and may also be used for the production of high performance concrete and Self Compacting Concrete (SCC). Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC is a high range water reducer that provides excellent plasticity and slump life. It is fully compatible with the entire range of Sika® Sigunit . Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC can be combined with accelerating or retarding admixtures to achieve required compressive strength and setting time.Advantages
Water Reduction: Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC can be dosed in small amounts to obtain water reduction from 10–15 %, and will achieve water reduction up to more than 30 % at high dosage rates. High Plasticity and neutral set. The superplasticizing action of Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC provides high slump, flowing concrete that maintains excellent workability with minimal set delay. Application
Compatibility
Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC is compatible with most of the Sika admixtures with the exception of Sikament® NN.
Dispensing
Dry batching plant.
Dose Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC with 80% of the mixing water then load all the remaining components, mix thoroughly for a minimum time of 60 seconds per cubic meter. Add the remaining 20% of batching water then.
Wet batching plant
Sika® ViscoCrete®-190 SC may also be dispensed as an integral material during the regular admixture batching cycle of the concrete mixer.
Do not add it to a dry mix
Recommended Dosage
Dosage rates will vary according to materials used, ambient conditions and the requirements of a specific project. Sika recommends dosage at 300–1000 ml/100 kg of cementitious for general concrete applications. If maximum water reduction is required, dosage up 1500 ml/100 kg of cementitious may be used. In Shotcrete the typical dosage ranges between 750 ml and 1500 ml/100kg of cementitious materials.
Dosage rates outside the recommended range may be used where specialized materials such as microsilica are specified, extreme ambient conditions are encountered or unusual project conditions require special consideration. Please contact your Sika representative for more information and assistance.
