Washing aid for epoxy joint grouting

SikaCeram®-960 Epoxy Finish is a powder concentrate to be added to the wash water after grouting tiles with epoxy resin. It removes residual epoxy grout haze.

Usage

SikaCeram®-960 Epoxy Finish is used as an added cleaning solution added to the wash water when using epoxy grouting. Please note:
  • The Product may be used for interior and exterior applications.
  • The Product may only be used by experienced professionals.

Storage conditions

The Product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between 0 °C and +30 °C. Always refer to the packaging.

Apply the Product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.
Application steps

EQUIPMENT

  • Sponge float

  • Bucket with rollers

  • Grout finishing tool

MIXING

  1. Follow the mixing ratio of 1 : 100, for example, 50 g of Product to 5 litres of water.
  2. Measure out the Product and pour into a bucket of clean water.
  3. Stir manually using a clean tool.
 

APPLICATION

IMPORTANT

Risk of staining on natural stone

Using the Product on natural stone may result in surface staining.

  1. Do not use the Product in combination with natural stone.
  2. Apply on a test area if in doubt.

Protect the Product from moisture

Note:

  1. Reseal open containers.

Preconditions

Observe information such as waiting times in the Product Data Sheet of the joint grouting product.

  1. Use a sponge float to wash the surface of the tiles.
  2. IMPORTANT Rinse the sponge and change the wash water frequently. Remove any smears or remaining haze.
  3. Allow the surface to dry.
  4. Repeat the cleaning process if there is any remaining epoxy grout haze.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
