• All substrates shall meet minimum deflection standards outlined in the Australian Standards AS 3958:2023
• All substrates shall be free from loose friable materials, dust, debris, release agents, curing compounds, grease, sealers and other contaminating materials. Contaminated substrates must be mechanically prepared to expose at least 80% of the original substrate.
• For substrates that require a levelling compound use a suitable Sika^® faring coat /skim coat.

CONCRETE SUBSTRATES:
New concrete shall be cured for 28 days and be left with a wood float finish. Steel trowel finished concrete is generally acceptable if the concrete allows water penetration. Concrete above 35Mpa shall be mechanically prepared.
CEMENT BOARDS AND SHEETING:
All boards and sheets must be fixed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and specifically designed for tiling.
RENDERS:
Cement-based renders must be installed as per AS 3958:2023 and left for a minimum 24 hours prior to tiling. Renders may need longer drying time in cold climtes.

Substrates shall be primed prior to adhesive application.

Porous substrates can be primed with:

• SikaTile 010 Secure Prime 
• Davco Ultraprime
• Davco PrimeX

Non Porous Substrates can be primed with:

• SikaTile 015 Prep n Prime

Note:

• Refer to the specific product data sheet for the complete user instructions prior to use.
• Do not apply primers over waterproofing membranes.

Pour clean cool water into a mixing bucket and gradually pour the the SikaTile®-374 Mega Pro powder into the bucket and stir with a mixing drill).

Mix for 2-3 minutes to a smooth lump free homogeneous consistency.

Allow the product to stand (slake) for 5 minutes then restir for an additional minute.

Do not add more water.

Restirring the mixture may be required during the adhesives pot life.

• Tiles shall be fixed in accordance to with AS 3958:2023
• Ensure the backs of tiles are clean and free from dust and contaminates.
• Apply the adhesive to the substrate with the appropriate sized notched trowel to achieve coverage requirement on both substrate and the back of the tile.
• Tiles may require back-buttering to achieve minimum coverage requirements.
• Apply the adhesive with a notched trowel in a single direction.

• Apply the tile, while pressing into the wet adhesive, break the ridges with the tile to fully bed the tile into the adhesive.
• It is advisable to periodically check the backs of the tiles for adhesive coverage requirements as the AS3958:2023.
• Only apply as must adhesive that can be covered prior to adhesive skinning. If skinning occurs remove and replace with fresh adhesive.
• Remove any excess adhesive from the face of the tile with a damp sponge and ensure grout joint are of uniform depth.
• Movement, expansion and control joints must be installed as per AS 3958:2023.
• Allow adhesive to dry prior to grouting. 

Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water while the adhesive is still wet.
