Davelastic must be diluted with clean, potable water at a ratio of 1 to 1 for use as an additive in cement based tile adhesives. Thoroughly mix the required amount of Davelastic and water together prior to mixing with the adhesive.

• All surfaces must be installed according to manufacturer’s instructions and relevant Australian Standard(s) and be structurally sound, dry, clean and free from movement, oil, grease, wax, sealers, curing compounds, release agents and any other loose or contaminating material. Thoroughly clean old surfaces, or new surfaces that have been treated, prior to tiling
• Deeply contaminated surfaces must be scabbled / abraded to a clean, sound surface; Expose at least 80% of the original substrate of painted surfaces
• Surfaces should be prepared and primed in accordance to the relevant tile adhesive product datasheet

Tile Adhesive Mix Process

1. Add the required amount of Davco® Davelastic and water mixture into a clean bucket.
2. Slowly add the powder to the liquid while mixing with a mixing paddle attached to a drill. Always add the powder to the liquid. Do not mix by hand. +
3. Continue to mix for several minutes until a creamy consistency is achieved, free of lumps of powder.
4. Allow mixture to stand for 5 minutes, remix then use the adhesive.

• The tile adhesive should be applied as per the instructions for the adhesive, including all surface preparation Note: Davco® Davelastic will increase the tackiness of the adhesive as well as reduce the pot life, open time and adjustment time.

Tools and equipement can be cleaned prior to setting.
