Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact is a specialty solvent free, ready to use non porous primer designed for use over smooth and non-porous surfaces and substrates.

Usage
Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact is applied in combination with suitable materials from Sikafloor, SikaTile, Davco and other relevant Sika product ranges.Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact is suitable for priming over the following fully binded and thoroughly
cleaned surfaces:
- Ceramic and porcelain tiles
- Terazzo
- PVC control leak flanges and metal drain flanges prior to waterproofing
- Non-porous coatings
- Sika waterbased vapour/moisture barriers such as
- Sikalastic Moisture Seal and Sikafloor-158W Fast Barrier
- Vinyl flooring (non cushion backed)
- Sika acrylic membranes
- Non porous construction boards and sheets.

Application
Ambient air temperature
Apply between +5°C to 35°C

Waiting time to overcoating
Before applying subsequent flooring products Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact must be completely dry (50min+ @ 23°C).
Do not install products over wet or pooling Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact, Instead, brush the pooling product out and wait till dry.
When priming resin backed stone allow primer to dry for 3 hours (at 23°C & 50% RH).
In cool or cold climate drying time will be extended.
Consumption
8-10m2 per lite dependant on substrate texture and profile.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must have adequate strength, load bearing capacity, dimensional stability and be dry. All substratss must be clean, dry and free of residues which reduce adhesion, e.g. dust, dirt, oil, grease, wax, cleaning agents and loose particles. 100% solids epoxy must be applied more than 24hrs before Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact can be applied.
When applying over exisiting tiles ensure the tiles are well bonded. Glossy tiles should be sanded to remove the gloss finish.
When installing over old flooring/coatings Sika® recommends mechanical abrasion (sanding/grinding) be carried out to achieve fresh non-contaminated surface, with coating having a minimum pull off strength of 1.5MPa. This is to be followed by a thorough clean
prior to installing Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact & subsequent Sika® products.
MIXING
Sikafloor®-14 Prep N Prime Impact is premixed, however stirring the product prior to use is recommeded.
APPLICATION
Apply a single coat with a paint brush or medium nap paint roller or paint brush to provide a continuous coating to the substrate.
Allow primer to dry and harden prior to flooring, levelling, tiling or subsequent coatings.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water prior to the material drying.
Dried product shall require mechanical removal.
