Sika® SealTape B

A next generation hybrid self-adhesive sealing tape designed for use with water-based waterproofing membranes

Self-adhesive waterproofing tape for flexible and waterproof of areas at risk of cracking (wall corners, floor-to-wall connections, pipelines etc.).

  • Compliant 490% lateral elongation
  • Contains PE Foil liner for 100% waterproofing protection
  • Multi component bandage for maximum protection
  • Non woven fleece than doesnt prevent elongation unlike other self adhesives butyl tapes
  • Highly Elastic

Usage

  • Sealing together between wall/floor surfaces and other change of planes including shower niches in wet rooms such as bathrooms and showers
  • Sealing together between tile and slab surfaces on balconies, terraces and on façades
  • Waterproof terminations such as water stop angles.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be secure, ready to take loads as well as free of oil, grease, dust and other separating layers.

A primer is recommended prior to application, refer the the specific instructions on the relevant product data sheet of the Sika waterproofing membrane.

Priming of PVC control leak flanges and metal channel drains are not required. Apply the Sika® SealTape B directly onto the surface and use a small roller flatten and avoid air pockets.
