SikaRapid®-700 L

Liquid hardening accelerating admixture 

SikaRapid®-700 L is a liquid hardening accelerator for grout, mortar and concrete.
SikaRapid®-700 L promotes early strength development while positively influencing final strength.

SikaRapid®-700 L  provides the following advantages
through accelerated hardening of the cement based
product within 4 to 18 hours depending on grout/con-
crete mix design,temperature and curing conditions:
  • Fast cable installation
  • Faster turnaround of formwork in precast applica-
  • tions
  • Reduced or eliminated heat or steam curing
  • Fast construction processes and early load bearing
  • capacity
  • No negative effects on the final strengths
  • Ensured early strength development of concrete mixes produced with blended cements
 

SikaRapid®-700 L does not contain chlorides or any other ingredients which promote the corrosion of
steel. It is therefore suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.

Usage

SikaRapid®-700 L is  suitable for any cementitious application where fast early strength development plays a major role, or is of crucial importance
within the first hours.
SikaRapid®-700 L is used for the following applications:
  • Cable and bolt grout
  • Precast concrete
  • Ready- mixed concrete where early demoulding is essential
  • Slip-formed concrete
  • Concrete mixes containing blended cements

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged unopened,original sealed packaging.

Storage conditions

Storage temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Protect from direct sunlight, frost and contamination.

Density

~ 1,40 kg/l (at +23 °C).

Application

Consumption

Recommended dosage

For cable grouting: 1 bottle per 20 kg bag of binder.
For concrete, mortar & grout: 2 to 5 bottles per 100 kg of cementitious material.
Exact dosage rate should be determined by site trials.
