Sika® Plastiment®-10

WR-Water Reducer 

Sika® Plastiment®-10 is a specially formulated water-reducing admixture based on a blend of selected lignosulfonates and modified polycarboxylates, with additional compounds incorporated that aid in placing and finishing of concrete.

Sika® Plastiment®-10 water-reducing admixture provides an economical and highly effective means of reducing the amount of mixing water required to produce concrete of a certain slump by acting as a dispersant for the cement particles in the mix.
  • Excellent Strength Performance.
  • Higher slump can be achieved without further addition of water.
  • Homogeneous concrete therefore lower pump pressure.
  • Improved plastic concrete properties.

Usage

Sika® Plastiment®-10 is recommended for use in all applications where high quality concrete with superior workability and normal setting times is required.
  • Reduced rate of bleeding.
  • For easy pumping, placing and burnish finish with steel trowel.
  • Mixes containing harsh aggregates and manufactured sand.
  • Coloured concrete using pigments for architectural aesthetics.

Sika® Plastiment®-10 meets and exceeds all requirements of Australian standard 1478.1-2000 for Water reducing Admixture (WR).

Shelf life

When stored at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C in unopened original containers protected from direct sunlight and frost, shelf life of Sika® Plastiment®-10 is at least one (1) year.

Application Information

Dispensing

Sika® Plastiment®-10 is added with the initial batching water. Never add to a dry mix.

Compatibility

Sika® Plastiment®-10 is compatible with all Sika concrete admixtures except Sikament NN . Due to the synergistic affect of Sika® Plastiment®-10, the quantity of Air entraining agent used in conjunction with Sika® Plastiment®-10 may need to be reduced by 25- 50%.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Recommended dosage is 300-400 ml per 100 kg of total cementitious material. Optimum dosage should be determined by site trials with the particular concrete mix design.
