Sika Canada's sales team in Ontario is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual who is interested in pursuing a career in technical sales. This person will be responsible for our portfolio of building finishing products and our customer base, working with existing customers, contractors and distributors. One of his main objectives is also to focus on market penetration, by expanding our activities in the greater Toronto area.

In this role, you will need to

  • Meet with clients (contractors, distributors, architects, etc.) to recommend our range of products for their projects.
  • Provide technical support and information on the application of our products for specific jobs (in particular our line of masonry products, self-leveling, caulking, ceramics and paints).
  • Doing the specification work, making sure our products are specified for large projects.
  • Work closely with our R&D and marketing teams to introduce new products.
  • Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure the proper delivery of products to the associated sites.
  • Assist customers with any product issues or concerns and provide a quick solution.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years prior experience in customer service and/ or sales working directly with customers, preferred (either over phone or face-to-face)
  • Bilingual (French & English) Not necessary, but considered BONUS!!
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused and a team player.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Sika dress policy at all times.
  • Career advancement may require domestic and/or global mobility.

Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements:

  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
  • Technical Sales Representatives has responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
